In the 80’s, I took many photos.
From somewhere, sunlight comes in and creates a landscape of shadows.
I place a plaster sphere and sunlight creates a landscape of shadows.
I produced works of realism based on such photos.
The passage of time has changed what I see,and how.
For beeswax transcription works,I dug out the old photos.
As I looked at those photos, the landscapes of the past inspired me
to produce new works and I made a few works in beeswax transcription.
Removing myself from the art is what I did then and what I do now
What remains after I distance myself…I continue to wonder~
